Schedule of Events
This Schedule of Events is preliminary and subject to change. Please note that we will have shuttle van service available to our events all weekend from our host hotel - The Lafayette Hotel & Suites.
Thursday November 13th	Kickoff Dinner & Early Check-In City Deli 535 University Avenue Hillcrest 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.	We will get together and kick off the weekend with our Thursday night dinner at City Deli. We will also have your full packages available for pick up at that time.	* Optional Event Various pricing depending on menu items
	Kickoff Bar Night The Eagle 3040 North Park Way North Park 9:00 p.m.	After dinner, we will head over to The San Diego Eagle for a special SunBears Weekend Kickoff Bar Night. Spend some time mingling with the local bears and leather men and meet some of our out of town guests.	Drink Specials
Friday November 14th	Hospitality Suite & Registration Lafayette Hotel & Suites Poolside 1:00-5:00 p.m.	Bears San Diego will be hosting an open door Hospitality Suite and Registration. You can pickup your registration packets here or register for our events, as well as meet some of the other bears attending SunBears Weekend 2008! Refreshments and snacks will be served.	No charge for full packages
	Off Site Private Pool Party & BBQ Dinner Wayne D’s Den 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.	Bears San Diego will be hosting a private pool party at the home of one of our founding members Wayne D. We will also be serving a BBQ Dinner. Shuttle service will be available from the Lafayette Hotel & Suites..	$20.00 No charge for full packages
	Meet 'N' Greet Pecs Bar 2046 University Avenue North Park 10:00 - 12:00 a.m.	Join us at San Diego’s "Bear Country" - Pecs Bar. Meet the Mr. So Cal Bear / Mr. So Cal Cub 2008 Contestants, and Judges. There will be many out-of-town guests, titleholders and lots of eye candy for all!	Happy Hour drink specials all night with badge
Saturday November 15th	Saturday Brunch Baja Betty’s 1421 University Avenue 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.	Baja Betty’s is the only gay Mexican restaurant in Hillcrest. They serve a Saturday Brunch featuring all-you-can-drink SANGRIAS or CHAMPAGNE / MIMOSAS and an all-you-can-eat buffet-style MEXICAN BRUNCH with create-your-own scrambles, machaca, chorizo, our home-made fresh tortillas, a taco bar, yogurt & fruit, with lots more.	* Optional Event Special Brunch Pricing
	Pool Party & Hospitality Suite The Lafayette Hotel & Suites 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.	Join us for a fun filled afternoon at the Olympic sized pool and spa at The Lafayette Hotel & Suites. We will also have our hospitality suite open with soft drinks and refreshments.	No charge for full packages
	VIP Reception Buffet, Show & Mr. So Cal/ Bear / Mr. So Cal Cub Contest at Rich's San Diego 1051 University Avenue Hillcrest 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.	Plan for an entertaining evening full of "beary" enticing and "furry" fun and enjoy the SunBears Weekend 2008 Show & Mr. So Cal Bear / Mr. So Cal Cub Contest as the current titleholders Rick Heintz – Mr. So Cal Bear 2007 and Sean Nagel – Mr. So Cal Cub 2007 conclude their title year and welcome their successors and this year's contest winners. We will have a blessing from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a performance by renowned gay bear comedian Richard Ryder and other entertainment in the works. Miss Roxy Bleu will be our emcee for the evening.	$25.00 No charge for full packages. Admission to this event includes the LL Bear Dance.
	LL Bear Dance at Rich's San Diego 9:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.	Now that the new Mr. So Cal Bear and Mr. So Cal Cub have been chosen, it is time to strip off that shirt, show your fur and boogie till the bears come home! SunBears Weekend and Rich’s San Diego present THE hottest dance in town- The LL BEAR (Leather, Levi, Bear) Dance. This is a special fund raiser event for the Bears San Diego charities.	$10.00 for LL Bear Dance only. No charge for full packages or VIP Reception, Show & Mr. So Cal Bear / Mr. So Cal Cub 2008 Contest participants
Sunday November 16th	Bingo with the Sisters! at The Lafayette Hotel & Suites 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.	Bingo with the Asylum of the Tortured Heart San Diego, an Official Mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Refreshments will be served.	No charge for full packages. $10.00 for all others.
	Victory Celebration at The Hole 2820 Lytton Street Pt. Loma 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.	We will head over to The Hole – “A World Famous Dive” for a Victory Celebration. They are known for the best beverage bust in town This will herald the victory of Mr. So Cal Bear& Mr. So Cal Cub 2008 and bid fond farewells and memories to SunBears Weekend 2008 attendees. 	Celebration Dinner at Brian’s 1451 Washington Street Hillcrest 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.	Join us for dinner with 'da bears at San Diego's premier Bear Owned restaurant – Brian’s American Eatery.	* Optional Event Various Pricing depending on menu items
