Welcome to
SunBears Weekend 2008

On behalf of Bears San Diego, the Board of Directors, and the SunBears Weekend 2008 Steering Committee, I am pleased to welcome you to our 11th Annual SunBears Weekend.

SunBears Weekend grew out of an idea to combine our monthly events into a “Bear Weekend” for our members. The success of that first event opened the door to a larger gathering which has become “SunBears Weekend.”

The concept has remained the same: a weekend full of activities that are fun and exciting, a price tag that makes it worthwhile, and an opportunity to make new friends and visit with old ones.

We are also excited to host the Mr. So Cal Bear / Mr. So Cal Cub Contest this year.

Our weekend has also become our major fund raising event of the year. Each year the current Mr. Bear San Diego chooses the charities that will benefit from our fund raising activities throughout the year. This year’s beneficiaries are The Hillcrest Youth Center and Special Delivery San Diego. Last year we raised $8,700 for our beneficiaries and we hope to top that this SunBears weekend.

We hope you join us for this weekend, get to know some of wonderful people participating in our event, and take away fond memories.
